If you are anything like me you have a lot of browsers open at any one time. This can cause quite a few problems, one being it tends to slow down your computer. I came across a great little extension for Firefox the other day, Thumbstrips.
Basically it creates a filmstrip of thumbnails across the bottom of your screen that shows your browsing history. Each of the individual thumbnails is clickable so you really only ever need to have one browser open at any one time. Perfect for me, because I think my record once was 34 browsers open at once !
You can find the Thumbstrip extension at Firefox Thumbstrips
Hi Paull,
This layout is MUCH better. Fresh! It may take a few days but I think this is gonna be much more enticing. That video was taking up almost the entire first fold of your page and when people lobbed it was all they would see. Consequently, many would glance and think it was dormant then just click away.
Jeez – 34 pages open at once. You must have NASA capability on that PC!
Hope you start to see a nice flow of traffic soon.
Regards
Gary SIMPSON
PS: Paull, maybe you can help me with something now. I have been seeing a few of those little icons in front of the http of the URL. What are they and how do you get them?
Hi Gary,
Yep I agree a lot better, It´s so strange though the fact that the bloody thing was staring me in the face for such a long time, wood for trees and all that !
HaHa the computer was screaming nooooo moooore I canne take it Captain !
The site I found for the favicom was http://tools.dynamicdrive.com/favicon/
Dead easy to use very similar idea to the avatar.
