After what has seemed like an eternity, I finally managed to get my blog seen by some of my fellow students today. The comments I received where nothing short of fantastic, I could not have hoped for better.
What has struck me more than anything today though is the incredible community spirit that is appearing amongst the students. Everyone is so desperate to help one another, it´s truly inspirational.
It´s very heartening to see that the ¨dog eat dog¨ mentality that´s held dear by so many, is quite obviously dead in the water as far as this thriving community of trainee ¨Gurus¨ is concerned.
I think a small passage by George Bernard Shaw pretty much sums up the attitude of our group at the moment,
and I quote
´´If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples we still have one apple each, but if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, we each have two ideas´´
After spending a ridiculous amount of time trying to get my blog and profit pulling platform into place the brainstorming session we had with Alex on Thursday came as a welcome breather for me. We were given the opportunity to discuss any problems that we had, lack of sleep was my only major problem !
The session which was originally supposed to be for two hours went on again for four hours, my god this young guy really over delivers in every sense of the word !
One of the things I admire the most about Alex is his patience. It´s the sign of a true teacher to be able to reach all levels of expertise at one and the same time, and Thursdays session was a prime example of this.
It´s pretty much a fact that anyone who is anyone in the internet marketing niche has a mentor of some description who they can call on for advice. For a lot of us newbies that can be a real problem when you´re struggling alone with no one to turn to for help and guidance..
Well for me that´s all changed ! About three weeks ago I signed up to a course by Alex Jeffreys
The first webinar which was held at 6pm in the states which equates to midnight here in Spain and went on until three or so in the morning. I then couldn´t even consider going to bed because I had so many new ideas swirling around my head, so I didn´t, I worked right through the night and then most of the following day ! I am not normally prone to over excitement but I am completely hooked with what this guy has to say.
The one thing that struck me immediately about this guy was the way he talked with utter passion and all the while with not the merest hint of HYPE !
This on its own came as a breath of fresh air because if you have spent any amount of time looking at the internet marketing niche you will be well aware that there are an awful lot of ¨hype mongers¨ who are always pedaling you yet another product that is so much better than the product they tried to sell you the previous day !
Not this guy. He has, in the space of three weeks turned me into a workaholic, with more than a few nights where I forgot to go to bed !
